What you do each day in the Journeyman Fabricator position:
- Oversee small groups of employees
- Work on your own without supervision
- Read and fully comprehend blueprints, and problem solve as you go
- Finish jobs in the targeted hours
What it takes; the Requirements and Duties:
- Requires superior knowledge of welding steel and aluminum plate FCAW, MCAW, GMAW, GMAW-p
- Fabrication from blueprints
- 10 years experience at a journeyman level or Red Seal
- Prior experience producing heavy equipment
- Ability to work independently and deliver results
- Open to cross training in one or more fabrication departments
- Open to participating in mentoring others
- Occasional overtime
- Trade certificates or equal experience and demonstrated skills
- Strong commitment to meeting standards
- Maintain and follow safety policies
- Get along well with others
