Wild Rose Co-op is now hiring a Meat Manager for our busy Killam Food Store.
The ideal candidate would have three (3) or more years of operational experience in a leadership role. Knowledge of sales, gross margin, and inventory management are required. Experience in the Co-operative Retailing System, meat cutting, and previous retail food experience are assets, and not required.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: ensure adherence to the departmental budget, oversee daily operations in the Meat Department; responsible to prepare and manage sale margins, expenses and inventory of Meat Department; ensure a positive customer experience by offering a friendly greeting and engaging with customers; ordering and receiving for the department; maintain customer standards by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns; participate in the recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department; provide strong leadership and support to team members within the department; adherence to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
This position will be reporting to the Food Store Manager.
Lifting up to 50lbs is required.
Plans and Aligns
This position is full-time and salaried based on 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required, and candidate may work evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.
