Career Statement
We are looking for a diligent, highly motivated Maintenance Worker to join our team at Edmonton City Centre. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for fulfilling tenant requests and maintenance of lighting, walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and signage in order to retain the appearance and functionality of the property.
Essential Functions
1. Property Maintenance
General upkeep and maintenance of the building – minor carpet repairs, wall patching, flooring and wall tile repair, door repairs (hinges, pivots, door handles, door closures), maintenance shop supplies and tool inventory, maintenance shop and vacant space cleanliness.
Daily inspections for washrooms - plumbing (snaking lines, fixture replacement, shutoff valve repair, vacuum breakers replacement, flush valves repair and install), and washroom stall hardware repairs.
Tenant comfort and response, tenant assistance, general customer service.
Occupational Health and Safety – job hazard assessment, training within safety policy (Genie lift, ACM, WHMIS, first aid, emergency response procedures), assistance to co-workers where safety code requires, emergency response procedures.
Daily inspections for lights – knowledge of base building and specialty lighting, light runs, outlet testing, resetting breakers, identify ballast and fixture problems.
2. Reporting and Documentation
Angus – complete assigned work orders (daily, weekly, monthly) for preventative maintenance program.
3. Other Duties
Special events – set up and take down for marketing and specialty leasing.
Providing general assistance to the building operator as required
