Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Logistics Senior Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the yard activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Give analytical and clerical support for container moves and LCV moves;
  • Find solutions for client problem resolution;
  • Maintain SOP’s and procedures for the inbound and outbound transportation and KPI’s;
  • Track 23rd in and out trailers;
  • Dispatch and weight export containers;
  • Ensure agent operates snow removal properly;
  • Coordinate activities with shunt drivers and drayage drivers and dispatch
  • Ensure data integrity in SAP;
  • Manage the drops and pick-ups designated carriers;
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of transportation;
  • Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demands; and
  • Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of shipping, yard and warehouse experience;
  • Good communications skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with high volume;
  • Ability to work in a large trailer yard;
  • Excellent understanding of EDI and IT systems;
  • Good computer knowledge and skills, especially with SAP and Excel; and
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
