Under the general direction of the Transportationand Logistics Manager, the Logisticsand CustomsCoordinator is responsible for assisting in logistical functions associated with domestic and international inbound and outbound deliveryof finished goods, spare parts and samples, as well as the import and export compliance of same entering into North America, Europe and Asia from different parts of the world.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for booking shipments online and over the phone, managing inbound PO’s, providing on-time updates to internal customers, entering data, solving issues, providing ETA information to our vendors, stores and warehouses and following up, while ensuring on time delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Execute outbound and inbound transportation in a multi-modal environment
  • Ensure all required domestic or international paperwork is accurately completed, filed and communicated to all necessary parties
  • Order Entry; Appointment setting; Tracking and tracing; Shipping & delivery follow up
  • Coordinate RMA’s
  • Generate and maintain computer database documenting of all information relating to the import of shipments into Canada, the United States, Europe and Asiafrom all overseas suppliers, as well as inter-company Transfers
  • Creation/preparation of shipping documentation of inter-company cross border shipments
  • Audit shipments created by suppliers and transportation partners
  • Liaise with Merchandise Teamon receiving priorities and expedite with Carriers/Truckers as required
  • Assist in the process of claims to Carriers for those damages that require compensation
  • Issue required documentation tothe appropriate customs agenciesfor imports coming into North America, Europe and Asia
  • Review invoices received from vendors and brokers relating to imports / exports for accuracy, making sure entries are made properly, and report discrepancies to correspondent broker office as needed for correction
  • Prepare duty draw back forms for merchandise exported or returned
  • Proactively use negotiation tactics in support of the transportation strategy
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
  • Enhance carrier utilization while maintaining customer requirements for service and on-time deliveries
  • Address issues that come up during transit and assist in resolving them

Requirements:

  • Experience asLogistics Coordinator
  • The candidate must demonstrate good understanding of (international) logistical requirements & processes and a general knowledge of Import & Export principles
  • Knowledge of LTL, TL, LCL and AIRoperations
  • Geographical Expertise including transit time difference based on mode
  • Detailorientatedcustoms complianceexperience
  • Knowledge of NAFTA, CETA, TPL and other trade agreements
  • Effective planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Fluency in verbal/written English
  • Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strongproblem-solving skills
