About the role:
As a Bilingual Funding Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing applications and providing an uncompromising level of customer service to our Partners and Borrowers. This position reports directly to the Funding Operations Manager and will work closely with the rest of the Operations team.
To be successful in this new role, you will need to be organized, detail-oriented and focused on customer service above all else. You are a team player, strong communicator and highly personable. You are comfortable multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment and holding yourself accountable for results.
What you’ll do:
Manage and complete the loan adjudication process by validating supporting documentation and reviewing loan conditions
Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) and develop plan/s for communication to partners and clients and advise/consult with supervisor as appropriate
Provide on the spot coaching to any merchants that require additional document policy training, and build lasting customer relationships with Partners
Provide prompt, efficient, detailed customer-oriented service to all Partners and Borrowers, respond to all inquiries promptly and maintain detailed notes
Calculate financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial worthiness
Identify loans for exceptions while ensuring proper procedures are followed for approval and documentation
Maintain knowledge of lending requirements, internal policies and procedures, and compliance and regulatory requirements
Follow security and safeguarding procedures for the prevention of loss due to fraud, money laundering or defalcation
Understand risks and take appropriate actions, including all documentation, and any other requirements to maintain operational integrity
Review own work for accuracy and completeness, identifying inconsistencies or discrepancies that indicate problems with the quality of work
Undergraduate degree/College diploma preferred
1-3 years of experience in financial services or call centre environment an asset
Bilingualism in French is mandatory
Strong knowledge of consumer credit and lending practices
Customer Service experience is required
Technical and organizational abilities a must
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, 11am-7pm,1-9pm… Sat/Sunday 10am-6pm
