Sales Representatives/Account Managers

Reports To: Executive Vice President of Strategic Business Development and/or Operations Manager

Overall Responsibilities:

At AEP, our focus is on innovation as well as industry roll-up and consolidation, and our customer’s needs influence our response to each of these aspects of our business. It will be our Sales Representatives/Account Managers who will be responsible for developing partnerships with customers to fully understand their needs and assist in planning residential and commercial building projects. As knowledgeable professionals, AEP Sales Representatives are able to make total solution recommendations for the customer and specific project needs.

The Sales Representatives/Account Managers will:

  • Provide superior customer service through proactive engagement with the Customer on every project they undertake, building a quality valued relationship;
  • Drive efforts and provide support of the marketing plan to increase market share while collaborating with the design and operations teams to drive profitable sales growth;
  • Through daily action and positive reinforcement, work collaboratively with the Customer promoting a “Can-Do”, high integrity company culture that thrives on the hunger for more work, continuous improvement and adds value to each product and service.

Core Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrate a willingness to understand and align all design efforts to AEP’s innovation focus, operational capabilities and marketing plan;
  • Blueprint (Architecture, Structural and Mechanical) Reading Skills;
  • Experience & Knowledge of Rough Framing and the Construction Process;
  • Command of Local and National Building Codes, Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering, Communicate and Enforce Adherence;
  • Expertise in the Application of Building Components and Connections of Floor and Roof Systems, the Application of Floor (I-Joist and LVL), Roof and Floor (truss) Systems and Tall Walls and other Engineered Wood Products;
  • Expert Skills to develop trusting and lasting customer relationships;
  • Proven skills to articulate exact customer needs to design team PLUS the ability to facilitate, foster and grow a relationship between customers and the Atlas design and operations team;
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills to Resolve Incomplete, Ambiguous Project Requirements, Errors or Omissions Within Blueprints;
  • Demonstrates high standards of safety and customer service;
  • Adds value to the customer’s buying experience by making recommendations;
  • Works with co-workers and vendors to support customers’ needs;
  • Achieves weekly, monthly and annual sales targets;
  • Keeps current with trends in a constantly changing industry.

Conduct:
The successful Corporate and Commercial Counsel will be a professional team player who works well in a fast-paced corporate environment with little supervision. This person will also be highly motivated, enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who maintains a keen eye towards our team’s philosophy of growth through relationship building.

Compensation:

Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.
