The Production Administrator reports to the Sr. Financial Analyst and supports the Plant Manager. The Production Administrator will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of plant production recording and reporting, various required administrative tasks, ad hoc analysis as required, and adhering to the Company policies and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/CHALLENGES

  • SAP Bill of Material management for plant production runs
  • Entering daily production and material receipts into the SAP system error free
  • Reconciliation of material usage amounts
  • Analysis of production records and material movements
  • Tracking of labour hours and productivity reporting
  • Preparation of the Daily Operating Report
  • Preparation of daily/monthly production reports
  • Preparation of ad hoc production reports
  • Assist operations as needed with inventory counts & variance analysis
  • Work order creation and product tracking
  • Other duties as assigned by Controller or Plant Manger
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Company Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities.

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS

Controller who assigns work, other employees such as the Materials Manager and Plant Manager. This position also requires interaction with the public in order to direct people to the correct location and/or department.

WORKING CONDITIONS/SAFETY/EXPECTATIONS

Physical Effort – Much of the time is spent seated at a desk and computer desk, or combination thereof in a comfortable position. Frequent breaks from a business computer (BC) is encouraged with opportunity to move about. Possible side effects of BC usage are:

  • Visual strain due to continual viewing of monitor
  • Wrist/arm discomfort due to continual use of pointing device (mouse).

Physical Environment – Generally located in a comfortable indoor area (office setting). There is an infrequent need to move or lift light items/articles. In addition, the following aspects are included:

  • Significant time spent within plant. Exposure may include, but is not limited to:
  • Dusty conditions (facility process generated)
  • Noise levels (may require donning hearing protection)
  • Non uniformly heated environment

Mental Effort - Mental strain due to constantly shifting priorities, timeline pressures, and accountability for accuracy.
