Seeking Wedding & Banquet Event Sales Coordinator at Dundee Resort & Golf Club

Dundee Resort & Golf Club was established in 1975, it is a 100 room Hotel with clubhouse, dining room and pub with 18 hole Golf Course located on Cape Breton Island 3 hours from Halifax Nova scotia. Dundee resort & Golf Club is sitting right on the largest and famous Bras d'or Lake on the island, It features magnificent tree lined fairways, a creek that meanders through the back nine and breathtaking mountain in every direction. Members and the public have enjoyed the Cape Breton"s most popular golf course for over 45 years.

The Barn style Pavilion (our outdoor wedding and banquet centre) can accommodate up to 250 guests.our indoor reception hall can accomodate up to 200 People. Prior to the pandemic we were schedule to host 27+ weddings and receptions this year. Currently Dundee Resort &Golf Club is offering all-inclusive wedding ceremony and reception package per new guidelines from Province of Nova scotia and we look forward to getting back to busy season 2020.
The Wedding and Banquet Sales Coordinator, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for all wedding and banquet sales, coordination and execution of all events at Dundee Resort & Golf Club. You will be responsible for a team of approximately 10 team members and will have support from your kitchen Chef.

You will be financially accountable for banquets including collection of deposits and final payments. This includes increasing sales, controlling costs, improve margins and growing the overall profitability of wedding and banquets. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills with the team, members and the public alike.

The key objectives of the position include:

  • Coordinate a sales and marketing program that ensures that wedding and banquet targets are achieved

Coordinate weddings and banquets from initial concept through to event day and post event reconciliation

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided and that guests enjoy a great event experience

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Technical Skills and Knowledge

Solid understanding of sales and event management

Understanding and experience relating to the golf and country club or hospitality environment

Education related to the industry or sales/events business nature

Knowledge of all Microsoft programs

Human resource and management experience


Sales experience

Business management



Quick evaluation and decision making

Leadership and strong management skills

Must be able to meet deadlines as required

Work efficiently in a non supervised position


Primarily inside work within an office environment

Some outside work required

Will be required to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings

Salary/Wage: $ 2500 to $3500 per months depends on the experiance plus tips.
