Overview

Reporting to the Manager, this position provides onsite support for University Partnership Centre programming, is the first point of contact for students and acts as a resource for faculty and degree partnership stakeholders. Working closely with internal and external departments this position will collaboratively coordinate event planning initiatives and provide in person support at partnership events and meetings. Furthermore, this position will provide administrative support to UPC internal and external priorities as well support cross-institutional communication and UPC office operations. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

Provides front line customer service for students, faculty and prospective students
First point of contact for in-person UPC inquiries
Provides information on programs and direction on how to apply
Maintains stock of UPC program recruitment material
Maintains a database/statistics for UPC student inquiries
Provides in-person support for events including event attendance and coordinating onsite logistics
Provides in-person support for meetings including setting up of technology and troubleshooting when necessary. (i.e. Video conference)
Provides in-person support for UPC off-campus events and activities
Provides administrative support for UPC marketing and recruitment initiatives
Assists in the development of student and faculty orientation guides
Coordinates operational logistics for orientation activities for both students and faculty
Supports the collection of data and prepares UPC correspondence and reports for internal and external distribution
Point of contact for onsite operational issues
Maintains up to date standard operating procedures
Supports daily functions of the UPC front counter. (i.e. Incoming and outgoing mail and office supply orders)

Requirements

Successfully completed a two-year secondary school diploma
Two years’ experience in a related role providing front line customer service
In order to respond appropriately to student and faculty enquiries, the incumbent must be knowledgeable about programming and applicable policies and procedures
When setting up technology for meetings and events, the incumbent may encounter technical issues which require an assessment of the situation and making a determination on the best possible solution
