The Associate Vice-President, Vendor Engagement will be responsible for developing and executing the Vendor Engagement strategy for Air Miles and will be accountable for achieving Vendor issuance revenue targets across accounts and responsible for driving the long-term development of Vendor strategies to deliver both issuance and non-issuance revenue. What you’ll do… Vendor (primary focus): The AVP will be accountable for the successful creation, delivery, implementation and iteration of the Vendor Engagement Strategy in support of securing issuance revenue targets. Design long-term vision and strategy for AMRP vendor construct Lead the development of a 3-5-year business strategy that will realize annual targets of $6m in 2020 (mix of issuance and non-issuance) Build vendor engagement strategy for both mid-term (1 year) and long-term (3-year time horizon) Establish strategic level relationships with key pillar partners (grocery, high frequency) Influence and collaborate with the Client Services team on product design to ensure buy-in and requirements Set AMRP standards for phased product release based on requirements / opportunities / constraints Serve as the primary link between Vendor Engagement and A&I / Technology stakeholders to determine product design roadmap and release schedule Establish the standards for sales pitch design, engagement materials, etc., And where required step in to deliver sales pitch and scale products with key coalition and CPG partners Identify and implement opportunities to optimize costs and profitability through capability development, training, Client Services and other AM teams Identify key opportunities and strategies for scalability and growth to drive revenue potential as well as profitability Team: Manage and develop resources to foster a sales and consultative culture across Air Miles Manage team against specific day-to-day client engagements and deliverables Identify resource requirements to scale and integrate vendor into AMRP portfolio Manage all aspects of team development – recruiting, training/onboarding, career-pathing and ongoing innovation. Stay abreast of industry trends to support continued best practices, product/service development, competitive positioning and future strategy/approach DaaS: Serve as key strategic partner to the Support Program Strategy team on the realization of the DaaS product suite and subscription model, including: Contribute to product sequencing, opportunities and revenue constructs Contribute / drive required changes to sponsor contracts, collector consent Identify, coordinate and lead partnership and product conversation with prioritized data partners (i.e., Rogers, Quebecor, Bell) Develop go to market sales materials, positioning, and where appropriate – training of client services teams Contribute to the annual target of $1.5M in 2020, scaling to $10M by year three

Who you are… Bachelors Degree or MBA (in business or marketing) Minimum of 15 years of directly related work experience in Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Business Development Experience in developing content strategies and content calendars Ability to multi-task with a keen attention to detail on all projects Thrives on collaboration, problem solving and accomplishing shared goals with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Leadership and managerial skills to manage direct reports Experience working with creative agencies and having the ability to evaluate creative from a strategic standpoint Ability to manage a yearly budget A good understanding of Public Relations Strong communication, relationship management and problem-solving skills About LoyaltyOne Today, there are more ways than ever to engage shoppers.
