Are you knowledgeable in general contract and legal document processes? If so, TRIO is looking for a part-time Contract Clerk (22.5 hours per week) for approximately 6 months to provide administrative support to the management of all contracts and legal documents within our unique global organization. TRIO's head office is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with operations throughout Canada, the USA, France and Uruguay.

Reporting to the Contract Administrator, we are seeking an individual with working knowledge of the administrative process involved with contract and legal document management and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a system to track legal documents from initial receipt of a draft to final execution.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a contract database to allow for easy access by the Executives to electronic versions, in addition to tracking expiry dates and key milestones.
Scanning legacy documents and filing accordingly
Working with other departments to ensure consistency in the filing of contracts
Maintain a spreadsheet containing the list of expiry dates, milestones, and other key parameters and alert the appropriate people of dates upcoming.

Qualifications

Post secondary certificate or diploma in Legal Administration or other certificate/diploma/degree in a legal field.
1-2 years experience in a legal environment with an emphasis on contract management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word.
Strong attention to detail and effective review of documents.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience reporting to, and supporting executive management.

Hourly Rate: $19 - $22 per hour depending on experience
