The Fiber Delivery Manager is overall accountable for delivery of high value programs

This role will have dedicated project resources (engineering & implementation) reporting indirectly (dotted line). The Delivery Manager role will have end-to-end accountability for assigned program and associated project delivery and directly managed external project lead resources.

The role is focused on program delivery, ensuring schedules and timelines are adhered to and project deliverables are met. The role will lead dedicated project resources to drive results and escalate issues to functional leads and management for action and resolution.

The role specializes in cable implementation programs (Civil Engineering & Construction), managing & leading productive project meetings, negotiating with project team members and tailoring communication for the appropriate audience (VP, Director, Management and stakeholders). Additionally, the Fiber delivery Manager will manage deliverables from 3rd party organizations including installation companies, municipalities, 3rd party asset owners and municipalities to build relationships, develop innovative strategies and drive results

Some key responsibilities are as follows:
Interface with Engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope.
Provide program leadership to teams consisting of internal and external contributors
Driving project resources to meet deliverables. Identifying gaps and areas for improvement & predictability.
Review schedules, identifying risks and managing project schedules to hit targets.
Review daily reports, drive action follow-ups and lead status reporting for management (RPATS, Meeting Minutes, Risk Registers).
Escalate to Primes & Management project roadblocks & process improvement opportunities
Ensure alignment with financial forecasting
Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
Perform risk management and change management on projects
Build quality control and quality assurance into project plans effectively.
Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turnover
Ensure that lessons learned are captured comprehensively, acted on and communicated out for each project.

Qualifications

More than 5 years of progressive experience delivering large-scale fiber projects / programs
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment
Experience working with Canadian municipalities
Experience with fiber permitting
Track record of fiber deployment including fiber builds utilizing 3rd party structures
PMP Certification
Sig Sigma Green or Black Belt
Experience with project management tools
Schedule: Full time
