Are you an IT professional looking for a challenge? Reporting to the Executive Director of IT Strategy and Stakeholder Management, the IT Service Manager will lead the Stakeholder and Value Management practice for the Manitoba government, one of the largest and most complex IT organizations in the province. We are looking for leaders with a passion for technology and customer service to help us on our innovation and operational excellence journey. The Manager will be responsible for establishing and operating a program that assists client organizations in forecasting their demand for IT services, leads client engagement and communication, leads business case and financial analysis processes, and manages the overall IT policy framework. Additionally, the IT Service Manager will lead, coach, mentor, and manage performance of staff and contracted resources. The manager will look for innovative ways to provide service and continuous improvement opportunities, and demonstrate excellence in reporting key performance indicators for their portfolio.

Qualifications:Essential:
A post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology and/or business discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Experience in one or more of the following IT business management functions: Business Systems Analysis, Application Development, Enterprise Resource Planning, IT Architecture, Infrastructure and Operations, Data Analytics, Project Delivery Management, Business Relationship Management, or related functions.
Experience leading service planning and/or delivery teams, coaching and mentoring, and performance management of staff.
Written Communication Skills
Interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to different levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a diverse team environment.
Problem solving skills.
Political and business acumen.

Desired:
Experience in vendor and contract management
Experience in financial management including business case development, cost estimation, and budget management.
Experience designing and reporting against performance measures.
