What you'll get to do:
This is a varied, hands-on role to keep various administrative, bookkeeping, and operations aspects running smoothly for projects with the sizable clients of this thriving small business. In this new role with Steeves, you will be responsible for:
Project invoicing and bookkeeping for Steeves' engagements with numerous clients, staying on top of contracts, billing, following up with project staff, etc.
Liaising and nurturing relationships with high value clients and with vendors
Supporting business development as Steeves continues to grow
Identifying opportunities for process improvement
Performing various administrative, finance, and procurement related responsibilities
Who we're looking for?
You are thorough and attentive in your work, tech savvy, eager to learn and grow, an adept communicator, and you understand how to contribute to building long term customer value.
Skills and experiences that will help you succeed:
5+ years' relevant office administration/operations experience
Post-secondary diploma/degree or Associate degree
Foundational accounting knowledge
Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook, as well as ideally experience using QuickBooks (or FreshBooks or similar software)
Superb verbal communication and business writing skills as a personable, professional, and effective communicator
Ideally a professional services background in an IT services firm or other services firm with relevant project coordination and billing related experience
