Job Description
You will be joining Victoria’s fastest growing product organization that is dedicated to building Workday’s next-generation Employee Experience Technologies. Over the past 3 years, we have built 4 core products at Workday with 2 more on the horizon that we’re very excited about. The team has grown from 13 to 60+ in that same period, and we’re continuing to rapidly grow and scale our presence in Victoria. A self starter, you know your way around networking, public relations, event management, corporate communications, and social media. You enjoy public speaking and you are also a great listener.

As our Community Engagement Manager, you are the local face of Workday representing one of our company’s most exciting product organizations: Employee Experience Technologies. Reporting to the Manager, Program Management; and in collaboration with our local leaders and HR Business Partner, you are responsible for building our brand recognition in the region and creating valuable relationships across the local business, technology, and post-secondary communities. Activities will also include outreach in other Canadian markets and some travel may be required.

Your duties will include:
Proactively planning and executing Workday-hosted industry events;

Representing Workday at local events and meet-ups to strengthen our presence and position us as the employer of choice;

Public relations and media relations;

Social media engagement;

Development of communications materials;

Talent recruitment support, and

Enabling Workday’s diversity and inclusion strategy in the Victoria location.


5+ years experience in public relations and event planning

Experience in marketing and branding

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with social media across multiple channels

Excellent organization and time management skills

Strong networking and relationship building skills

Self starter, passionate, enthusiastic, high energy

Quick learner, creative, strategic thinker

Experience networking with Victoria’s technology community is an asset

Degree in Business, Public Relations, or Communications considered an asset
