We are currently hiring a Real Estate Law Clerk.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects with respect to a residential & commercial real estate transaction, from receipt and review of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, through the formal closing, reporting, undertakings follow-ups, and closing the file, including private lender transactions;

Work experience:

  • Minimum of 2 or more years of work experience in a law office as a clerk

Job duties / Skills requirements:

  • Managing and completing residential & commercial purchase/sale and mortgage files from start to finish
  • Preparing and reviewing bank documents
  • Drafting and coordinating necessary documents required for closing
  • Organizing and coordinating of files and closings
  • Conducting and reviewing title searches, off-title searches and drafting requisitions
  • Registration of documentation in Teraview, Conveyancer

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in all forms of real-estate files - purchases, sales, mortgages and refinancing
  • Strong technical skills in Conveyancer, Teraview, PC Law, and Microsoft Word &Outlook.
  • Handling a high volume of files in a proficient and efficient manner
  • Being able to perform title searches and all relevant correspondence searches in detail
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English, bilingual language skills are a definite asset
