We are currently recruiting for an HR Generalist, who is energetic, detail oriented and highly organized to join our fast-paced team. This position will be responsible for providing a high level of support to all of their stakeholders to ensure the goals and objectives of the department are met. This job receives some direction and guidance, but most tasks and objectives are accomplished independently.


Builds strong and effective relationships with internal clients by responding to queries and providing guidance/counsel to firm members, regarding HR policies, procedures and initiatives, while ensuring compliance with legislative.
Determines appropriate staffing requirements (including vacation/absent and working team coverage), communicating share changes to key stakeholders in a professional manner.
Proactively coaches and counsels key stakeholders of target practice groups on performance management, working team dynamics, employee relations, resourcing requirements etc., recommending solutions to identified issues in an effort to ensure that exceptional legal and administrative support services are provided to the principals of the Firm.
Leads recruitment initiatives by implementing effective recruiting and hiring practices to attract and retain top talent to meet resourcing and business needs.
Prepares various HR reports and supports HR processes and projects by conducting research and analyzing data to make informed recommendations on best practices and operational process improvements.
Collaborates with the Payroll and Benefits team to address issues and identify solutions, as required.
Active member on office committees.
Other duties as assigned.

At least 5 years of relevant experience.
College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources Management.
Professional Human Resources designation or working towards (CHRP/CHRL), or relevant experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
A strong communicator with a solid track record of building relationships, coaching individuals, facilitating group discussions and providing pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs.
Experience working closely with internal clients on complex/sensitive issues and demonstrates discretion and ability to handle confidential and private information appropriately.
Solid understanding and knowledge of Human Resources Management processes/policies, best practices and employment legislation.
A leader with strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS an asset.
