What will you do at Ciena?

The test engineering team is looking for a dynamic candidate (new grad) to join the group responsible for developing tests on Packet Optical products as well as sustaining current production.

Test engineer duties and responsibilities

Analysis of circuit schematics for manufacturing test requirements.
Design & develop test plan strategy
Develop & Automate test sequences using Ciena’s tool
Validation Test cases on Prototypes in lab environment
Debug electrical circuits,
Test Documentation & debug procedures.
Station design
Production support

Collaboration with stakeholders

Teamwork with test engineering colleagues and overall operations engineering
Strong collaboration with the R&D team
Teamwork with our Ciena remote support team at our Contract manufacturers.
Interactions with Supply Management, Project managers, Product engineers

Areas of impact

Time to market on new products
Cost of manufacturing & tests (Max coverage at best cost) – profit margin impact

Quality & Reliability

Experience & skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Software coding skills. (Python, C# a must)
Cad tool (Altium skills)
Electronics excellent knowledge.
Great communications skills and bilingual (French, English)
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
