Reports to: Regional Field Director
Combat Networks is looking for a full-time Telecom Technician to join our growing team. Telecom Technicians, or UC Engineer’s as we call them, are responsible for the implementation, integration, and support of a wide range of high-end voice and collaborative solutions.
Integration and support of a wide range of products
Management and resolution of customer issues
Programming and maintenance of system hardware and software
Voicemail or set password resets
Firmware and service pack updates
Preventative maintenance routines
Open and manage tickets with vendors
Ensure additional resources required at Combat have been engaged appropriately to meet client needs.
Installation, integration, and support of VoIP and Legacy telecommunication systems
Implementation and support of Advanced Call Centre applications
Assist in the development of Best Practices for new and evolving VoIP Technology
Manage service issues to resolution with vendors
Skills & Experience Required
2+ years related experience
Degree in electronics technology or equivalent work experience
Certification or experience on Avaya CM, CS1K, IPO and voicemail systems
Installation, support, and maintenance of Avaya Aura Core Components
Knowledge of VMWare, AVP Virtualization
Professional, reliable, highly organized and punctual
Customer service and team-oriented
Maintain industry-recognized technology credential(s)
Must have valid provincial drivers licence and ability to drive in a variety of traffic levels throughout the day.
Must maintain clean driving record
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have ability to secure Government of Canada Level 2 Secret security clearance
UC Engineers are required to obtain various security clearances – provincial, federal and customer-specific where required.
