Our Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for the creation and execution of an integrated communications plan for all of Toromont’s business units in a way that supports the Company’s vision, mission and values. The main objective will be to encourage employee involvement and engagement through appealing and relevant communications that promote a superior employee experience. This position will allow you to take charge of, and dispatch Toromont’s internal communications through various digital tools, in addition to overseeing the Company's translations.

Note: This position could sit in either our Concord, ON or Pointe-Claire, QC Head Office


Demonstrating workplace safety, environmentally sound, healthy behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives;
Developing and executing an integrated internal communications plan;
Participating in the redesign of our Intranet project and implementing new tools to maximize the impact and efficiency of our communications;
Supporting the change management of our 2022 three-year strategic vision by deploying an integrated communications strategy consistent with the company’s mission, vision, and values;
Providing consistent bilingual editorial support, including writing, translating, editing, and formatting content for all business units;
Being responsible for the writing, translation, and publishing of our Intranet content;
Advising and supporting senior management in the deployment of internal communications;
Bringing to light the culture and brand image of Toromont in all internal communications;
Coordinating the company’s internal newsletter – 4 publications per year;
Managing the requests and priorities of the Internal Communications department in collaboration with the Marketing Projects Coordinator;
Meeting the translation needs of various departments and business units.

You have 5 – 10 years of experience in internal communications management;
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Journalism;
You are perfectly bilingual (French and English);
You have the ability to translate from French to English, and English to French;
You are familiar with SDL Trados Studio. Knowledge of SharePoint and Sitefinity is considered an asset;
You have an excellent understanding of the different target audiences and you can adapt communication strategies accordingly;
You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
You are organized and safety conscious with a mindset for continuous improvement;
You can manage several projects at once and can meet tight deadlines;
You have high ethical standards;
You are a team player;
You are flexible and are comfortable taking initiative.
