The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) a unique, boutique style property, is looking for Overnight Guest Service Agent who must be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our guests' expectations with an attention for detail.
Job Purpose: To ensure all revenue is posted to the correct departments and to balance all revenue departments on a daily basis, and complete all necessary reports.
Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.
Verify the status of all wake-up call requests and ensure they are properly handled.
Prepare the front office for the 'A' shift and reset day's business.
Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Assist the Guest Services Management team in ensuring the smooth and efficient overall day-to-day operations of the Front Desk.
Provide courteous, prompt, professional and attentive guest service up to 5 Diamond Standards at all times whilst on the desk.
Ensure department adherence to company policies, procedures and standards to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded.
Coordinate hotel emergency procedures within the scope of the defined plans.
Prepare reports, handle special projects and assignments as required.
Promote the property in your interactions and possess a sound knowledge of the surrounding area and activities.
Maintain a good working relationship and communication amongst all colleagues and departments.
Addressing and resolving guest concerns in a timely manner escalating issues to the Manager on Duty when you are unable to do so.
Complete other duties in an expedient fashion as assigned by the Guest Services Management team.
Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented.
Fluent in English. Proficiency of a second language would be an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work flexible hours when called upon to do so.
Must be able to stand or sit for an 8-hour shift.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must have a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Education & Experience
1-2 years working in a hotel environment in a hospitality related industry in a front office
Experience with Maestro or Opera PMS is an asset
Occupation First Aid Level 1 preferred but not required.
College education in hospitality is preferred.
