Under the direction of the Senior Manager, IT, this positon will conscientiously provide various IT services including tasks related to user support and/or administration, intermediate network administration and/or maintenance, Server administration, application testing, deployment and support, and various telephone system services. Also support users with technical needs for desktop/laptop computers and related peripherals such as tablets, network printers, smart phones, etc. As time permits works on various project tasks as assigned.
Cisco administration – switch, route, Identity Services Engine
Palo Alto Firewall Administration
Server administration - VMware, Windows and Linux
Active Directory Administration
Office 365 Administration
Microsoft System Centre Administration
Respond to System Alerts and Escalations
Provide IT support and assist with escalated IT Support incidents
Workstation deployments / support – Windows, OSX
Provide assistance with setup and training for mobile devices (phones, tablets and laptops)
Provide training and support of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio)
Draft knowledgebase / training documentation as requested
Install network and server hardware / software
Preventative maintenance tasks
File restoration tasks
Mentor junior staff
Identify process improvements and efficiencies
Identify tasks/functions for scripting / automation (PowerShell, Ansible or similar)
After hours support/maintenance and rotational on-call responsibility
Other duties/projects as assigned


Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience
Cisco Identity Services Engine – strong preference
Microsoft MCSE or relevant MCSAs
Able to successfully troubleshoot and analyze technical problems
Able to gather information effectively and thoroughly assess problems with a view to resolution
Good knowledge of computers and related hardware and peripherals
Experience with Office 365 Administration and troubleshooting
Extensive experience installing and supporting Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2008/2012/2016 and 7/8/10
An intermediate understanding of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and browser technologies
Working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell preferred)
ITIL preferred
