We are looking for a full time Accountant to join our bookkeeping team in our Victoria, BC office. This role involves supporting our clients in all aspects of their business. We embrace the innovative and fun aspects of our culture that often requires thinking outside the box.

You must perform all of our duties in a proper, reasonable and efficient manner, in accordance with the standards of diligence, sill and care reasonable expected of a duly qualified person in your position and in accordance with generally accepted practices appropriate to those activities. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the performance of the following tasks:

  • Cash Flow Management
  • Full cycle bookkeeping
  • AP, AR, invoicing, bookkeeping, accruals, deferrals, prepaids, reconciliations and various other GL entries
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month end and year end process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Process payroll, manage benefits, complete and process T4’s and ROE’s
  • Liaise with external service providers – accountants, lawyers and banks
  • Personal income tax returns


  • High level of critical thinking with the ability to interpret and succinctly communicate findings or ideas
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to take ownership and follow through on tasks and projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure from deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Willingness to learn
  • Full cycle bookkeeping for our clients in all industries
  • Prepare and supervise personal tax return preparation
  • Experience with cloud based software as well as Sage 50, Quickbooks, Outlook 365, word and excel
  • Manage their own workload as well as the rest of the team
  • Ability to see a problem and be the solution
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations and negotiate resolutions

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in Canada

The ideal candidate will have experience in public practice and inspiring a team. A history of working with a variety of industries is a requirement. Personal income tax preparation is a must. Candidates should be prepared for constant interruptions and changing priorities that keep the work day lively.
