Provides administrative assistance to the Director of Business Development & Commercial to ensure effective use of time, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, composing correspondence and collaboratively planning meetings and events.

This position additionally provides commercial coordination support within the Business Development and Commercial Operations divisions of ATCO Energy Solutions. The position supports the department with responsibilities such as preparing contract documents, internal/external presentations, reporting and general commercial administrative support.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring effective information flow and communication within the overall commercial division.



Prepare weekly reports, letters, memos, notes, and various correspondence
Coordinate department/customer meetings, lunches, events and attend events as required
Troubleshoot all office equipment and services issues (IT, Software, etc.) by maintaining communication with all suppliers and service providers
Office administrative duties

Commercial Coordination

Assist in the creation of and/or editing/updating of contract documents, agreements and reports
Assist in the creation of and/or editing/updating of proposal documents, presentations and internal development process documents
Support development team in maintaining key counterpart relationships
Preparation and presentation of regular reports and status updates
Track, monitor and capture contract details for regular commercial team review
Support tracking and reporting of business leads and opportunities including updating information in CRM as needed


Professional communication skills (written, verbal, phone, and email) with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to remain flexible, accommodate interruptions, multi-task, and set/re-set priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Team player who communicates efficiently and consistently with other staff members to coordinate tasks and projects
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all work and information is complete and thorough
Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule
Independent thinking, problem-solving skills, discretion and integrity are a must
Self-starter who can work independently in the office
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Post-secondary education in business or marketing is preferred with a minimum of 3 years coordinator experience.
Experience working in a business development-oriented organization is required, contract administration experience considered an asset.
