We are seeking a passionate and motivated leader to join Executive Chef Frank Dodd's culinary team. The Sous Chef is accountable for providing leadership in the kitchen, including training and developing the team, assisting in the development and delivery of a high-quality food program, representing the kitchen at internal and external functions, and acting as Manager on Duty "MOD" when the Executive Chef is out of the kitchen.
We are looking for a teammate with:
Professional Culinary Training; Food Handling Certificate.
6+ years of culinary kitchen experience.
2+ years in a culinary leadership role.
Flexibility to work varied hours including days, evenings, weekends & holidays.
Strong interpersonal abilities.
Professional, positive and collaborative.
Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
This teammate will be accountable for:
Assist the Executive Chef in business and menu development, including cost analysis and control.
Coordinate and participate in the production of food for service, ensuring standards of timing, quality, cost efficiency and waste.
Leads daily line operations as MOD including coaching and motivating team members.
Act as an ambassador of the Restaurant and culinary program, on and offsite.
Support in the recruitment and onboarding of all part time team members.
Following safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/hazards to the Executive Chef.
