The Social Media Specialist will manage Pursuit’s social media platforms to help achieve Pursuit’s brand objectives and revenue targets. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of Pursuit’s social media strategy that is designed to engage our audience and create lasting relationships. In collaboration with the content marketing team, the Social Media Specialist will create and distribute content to optimally resonate with Pursuit’s audience.
Supports Manager, Social Media Marketing in the execution of Pursuit’s social media plan and content strategy
Supports geography marketing coordinators in the creation of monthly social calendars across Pursuit geographies
Coordinates social media content production in each geography
Administers all Pursuit social media profiles
Administers proper voice and tone for each social media profile
Supports Social Media Marketing Manager with Social Media Ambassador (SMA) program management (with collaboration from geography-based marketing coordinators)
Works with Pursuit’s content marketing team to develop brand voice and copy that aligns with Pursuit strategy
Stays up-to-date and reports on new digital technologies and social media best practices to stay current with social media marketing trends to ensure Pursuit is competitive in the marketplace
Works with the digital marketing team to monitor and implement best practices for bolstering SEO effort with social media
Works with writers and designers to ensure content is informative, appealing and aligned with overall Pursuit content strategy
Performs data analysis and provides insights and recommendations pertaining to engagement, conversion and brand growth.
Two years marketing experience with a focus on social media
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communication or Tourism is an asset
Competent with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook Business Manager and Facebook Ads Manager
Competent with Adobe CS is an asset
Competent with Excel and PowerPoint
Desire to work in a fast-paced organization
Ability to work as a team but also on your own
Valid Passport (can be obtained post-hire, but will be required)
Ability to travel
