Develop and maintain a strategic plan to drive value across multiple categories based on an understanding of the business’ priorities, the market, spend baseline and benchmarking expertise.
Actively seeks ways to streamline business processes; research and provide information on industry category trends and best practices.
Lower costs of various national programs, increase supplier quality, enhanced service levels, improved delivery, payment terms, and other areas as identified.
Execute RFP’s and contracts through correspondence with suppliers; develop selection criteria and drive the selection of suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders, conduct supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.
Create business cases to substantiate total cost of ownership, savings opportunities and prioritization.
Work with the legal team to make sure all contracts adhere to Wolseley Canada T&C and minimize exposure to Wolseley Canada.
Carry out project based work, with continuous tracking of projects, update stakeholders, and hold suppliers accountable.
Use current spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects and develop an overall cost reduction plan. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
Create value by optimizing project design and minimize project duration and cost.
Work in a collaborative environment to engage various stakeholders to identify key projects.
Engage with senior leadership to update them on various projects and initiatives being taken up by indirect procurement.
Participate in strategic meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure execution of defined strategies. Conduct regular supplier meetings and implements improvement strategies with suppliers. Create, nurture, and enhances supplier relationships.

Bachelors in Business (Administration/ Finance/Operations/ Supply Chain)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in indirect strategic procurement (T&E, Mobility, IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Waste etc)
Strategic thinking and insight, ability and initiative to identify key projects and execute
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Continuous improvement mindset and superior organizational skills
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Excel and experience working on integrated ERP software
