EBSCO’s Stacks division in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for a Junior Systems Analyst to join their team. The Junior Systems Analyst will focus on enhancement and customization opportunities for the Stacks product line by identifying the technical, user experience and workflow requirements for new features, functionality, and 3rd party platform integrations. The Junior Systems Analyst will be a proactive, pragmatic champion for customers’ success by serving as a primary intermediary between Customers and the EBSCO development and implementation teams. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of business and technical acumen to the job where they will be seen as a high-value member of the Stacks team.
Advocate on behalf of customers, providing suggestions and feedback regarding product enhancements to improve product quality
Identify and define functional and non-functional requirements for product enhancements
Develop test scenarios and use cases for requirements testing
Create and maintain in-depth technical documentation
Travel up to 30% of the time
2+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Digital Project Manager, or similar
Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
Proficient in Office 365
Experience working with library systems or intranet platforms
Experience with creating queries and reports with SQL
Experience with administrating CMSs (Drupal, WordPress, Others)
Experience with conducting independent research and environmental scans
Experience working in a Lean Software Development environment
