We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Senior Planner in our Toronto, Oakville and Kitchener offices.
Management of projects for public sector clients related to a wide range of municipal land use planning, integrated mobility and urban redevelopment projects
Leading marketing initiatives, including profile building exercises, proposal writing and client liaison
Contribution to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
Contributions to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
A degree in planning or related field, preferably at the Master’s level
Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI)
A minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably in the consulting industry
Experience in land use planning and development, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policy
Demonstrated success in multidisciplinary team leadership, project management, clients relations and business development
Expert knowledge of the development industry and the land development approval process, and municipal planning policy
Strong communication, report writing, organization and interpersonal skills
