Our Waterloo Region office is currently seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager, responsible for managing and developing the business development and marketing initiatives for the Waterloo Region office.
Undertake, analyze and deliver research and strategic BD and marketing insights in collaboration with other Business Support Services team members where appropriate.
In collaboration with office leaders and members of the BD and Marketing team, develop firm-aligned and integrated annual BD and marketing strategies, plans and tactics for:
The Waterloo Region office
Key regional, national and global client teams as requested
Lead, project manage, implement, measure and evaluate initiatives against strategies, plans and tactics.
Network with BD and marketing colleagues to develop internal relationships, identify client growth opportunities and connect legal professionals.
In collaboration with the Proposal team, develop informal and formal pitches and proposals.
In collaboration with the Communications team, develop client-focused and business generating thought leadership content and campaigns.
In collaboration with, and with approval from the Creative and Design and Communications teams, develop brand and business-aligned BD and Marketing communication materials.
Identify, implement, measure and report on business-building, profile-enhancing and events, client education and giving opportunities.
Solicit, compile and submit significant matters for expertise database and ranking agencies in consultation with and approval by the appropriate shared service team members. Manage the distribution of the firm entertainment tickets for the Waterloo Region office.
In collaboration with the Director, facilitate BD and marketing training, coaching and mentoring to legal professionals.
Participate as a member of the local office and BD and marketing management team by sharing information, developing and implementing activities and leveraging best practices.
May participate in other BD and marketing related initiatives as requested
A minimum of 7 yearsâ€™ relevant experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
College or University Degree in business and/or marketing discipline.
Exceptional client service skills, oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to identify, develop and drive a successful go-to-market strategy that positively impacts growth.
Strong people leadership and engagement skills, including a strong work ethic that inspires the same from others.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and consensus-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, as well as changing needs/requests while remaining positive, engaged and focused on finding solutions to problems.
Ability to collaborate, excel and deliver outcomes in a virtual team-based environment.
Exceptional organizational skills capable of juggling multiple tasks.
Remain current on developments and trends within the industry.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using a CRM database.
Digital, social marketing and content marketing experience. Experience with budgeting, forecasting and analytics
