In the heart of the city, just off the beaten path, lies Advice from a Caterpillar, a curious and curiouser place devoted to the enchantment of childhood. Featuring exclusive collections curated from around the world in a blend of style and eras, Advice from a Caterpillar is a modern concept shop for families, focusing on new baby and child .
Since 2009, it has been operated by its female founders and continues to be a family-run business. The shop was designed by Lloyd Ralphs Design and is best known for its monochrome aesthetic and Parisian influence. For ten years, Advice from a Caterpillar has curated emerging designers from around the world and is inspired by sustainable and responsible design. Housed in a light-filled open concept space, the shop’s floor-to-ceiling storefront windows rotate frequent art-inspired merchandising installations. While the e-boutique is open seven days a week, the Price Street location is open from 10am-6pm Monday – Saturday.

The store is located at 8 Price Street near Summerhill and Yonge and is hiring aretail sales stylist.
Reporting to the owners, the stylist’s mandate will be to provide a beautiful sales experience in-store.
Success in sales at Advice from a Caterpillar is defined by selling not only the product but also the customer experience. This position entails embodying the Advice from a Caterpillar spirit, and respecting the company procedures. The role covers areas of development of product sales, inventory management, in-store merchandising, running the daily operations, daily gift and wardrobe styling and supporting community events and projects.
