JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Data Verification Coordinator will be responsible for verification data submission of patient record and billing to the LHIN/ government including oversight on APR (Automated Provider Reporting) VIR ( Visit Information Report) and assisting with data management systems.

Support the overall coordination and billing functions reports and submissions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the management of APR ( Automated Provider Report)rejections in conjunction with reporting accounting metric reporting and manage ongoing communication reminders to nursing staff and supervisors.
Manage pending/expired PED (Patient Expiry Dates).
Manage and correct demographic data across systems to control rejected unsubmitted APR billing.
Review submissions to LHIN for validity of additional visits, cancellations Review Visit Information Report (VIR) in locations that do not have Automated Provider Reporting (APR)Assist accounting team with rejected billings as directed.
Ongoing Procura task, data and reporting management.
Working collaboratively with accounting, operations, management and project teams to ensure quality metrics are met and compliance followed across the branch to meet contractual standards.
Develop reports to management identifying trends and recurring problems.
Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Effort (Mental & Physical): Travel is required to regional locations.
Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Overtime as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Medical Administration Certificate is an asset.
Completion of post-secondary education.
Experience in community healthcare coordination preferred but not required.

Advanced software skills including excel, metric reporting and integrated systems process understanding.
Proven ability to effectively communicate both through oral and written.

Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and ParaMed Occupational Health and Safety policies within all district offices.
