This opportunity is a 12-month fixed term contract.


Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resources Coordinator works in cooperation with Corporate HR team to support delivery of HR services to business leaders and employees across the corporate operations. Day to day direction and support is provided from the Corporate Human Resources Generalist.


Manage and coordinate the long-term service award, service milestones and retiring employee recognition programs; coordinate communications and employee service events.
HRIS (Workday) Administrator - act as a super-user providing coaching, training and system user support to employees and leaders; prepare HR related reports as requested.
Standardize and update Employee Handbooks and Corporate HR Policies.
Provide employee relocation support for new and transferring employees including preparing work permit applications, liaising with legal counsel as required.
Support Onboarding program for Corporate Office - including administering Company's building access cards (BRIVO system) for new employees at Yorkdale Head Office.
HR projects and initiatives – participate and provide coordination support to various HR projects and new initiatives: e.g. review and cleansing of shared drive documents, onboarding, job evaluation and compensation, policy review, dashboard metrics and engagement survey.
Support company HR initiatives, programs, events and conferences
Manage SharePoint/Connect HR page (Communications Specialist)
Support company-wide programs, events and conferences.
Provide general administration for Corporate HR Team including scheduling meetings, logistics, photocopying/filing, travel requests, etc.
Respond email and phone inquiries; create and send correspondence.
Provide back-up support as required for benefits administration and Oxford Properties/Security at Yorkdale.


Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline. Specialization in HR Management is an asset
Office management and/or 1 – 2 years of Human Resources experience
Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of a variety of computer applications, including HRIS and Microsoft Office products
