About the Job:
Administrative Assistant Duties: The College maintains both electronic and physical files. It also provides naturopathic physicians with an online self-service website for managing their practice information. We are looking for someone who keeps their work organized, neat, and tidy; who is methodical; who pays attention to the details; and who can handle confidential information. You will help to manage these files and keep them in order. You will also assist naturopathic physicians with using and troubleshooting the self-service website.
Providing Regulatory Support: The College administers entrance examinations, processes registration/licensure as well as certification applications, maintains continuing education and practice review requirements, and issues permits for health profession corporations. We are looking for someone who is happy and eager to assist our Regulatory Officer and our Director of Registration and Policy with these matters. You will assist in preparing exam documents and processing exam results. You will assist in processing registration/licensure as well as certification applications and in guiding applicants through the process. You will assist in administering the College’s continuing education program and practice reviews. You will process health profession corporation applications and renewals.
Providing Committee Support: The College has several different committees that are responsible for the matters mentioned above. We are looking for someone who has experience supporting committee meetings. You will collaborate with other administrative staff to schedule meetings, order meals, draft the agenda, compile and print materials, take minutes, and draft reports. This will require attendance at these meetings, some of which are held in the evening.
Receptionist Duties: The College interacts with over 700 naturopathic physicians in B.C., as well as with the government and other organizations. We are looking for someone who is professional, knowledgeable about the College’s rules, helpful, patient, and clear. You will greet people when they arrive in the office, and answer and direct phone calls – taking messages when necessary.
