POSITION DESCRIPTION

WSP has an immediate full-time permanent position for an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. This person is responsible to provide analytical support for WSP’s consolidated financial plans, forecasts, and actual results to ensure accuracy and clarity of understanding of key business drivers, with accountability for planning and analyzing specific global costs and supporting regions in the development of their plans and forecasts. The individual will be involved in the key financial metric assessment across key financials (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow). This is a highly visible and critical role that provides excellent career advancement opportunities. Notice to future CPA: this work experience could be recognized as internship hours required to obtain your title!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide analytical and consolidation support for WSP financials. Design and update monthly management reporting, collecting global business analysis and insights from Regions;
Implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights Identify key drivers of performance and risk and opportunity assessments;
Produce consolidated key KPI’s metrics;
Identify risks and opportunities based on actuals and forecasts and follow up with Regions. Liaise with Finance teams to ensure understanding of key business drivers;
Participate in review meetings with the Regions and Global functions and challenge forecast/budget assumptions to ensure accuracy, integrity and reasonableness;
Coordinate the Global budgeting and forecasting exercises as well as internal and external benchmarking assignments;
Support presentation development and Board materials for financial reviews, and monthly/ad hoc analysis to support the global management team;
Give support to the regional teams in presenting and loading the information Support the Finance team members in the execution of various projects;
Complete special projects in collaboration with other corporate groups: investor relations, internal audit, risk & ethics and legal teams;
Support the HR function on the long-term incentive plans for the leadership team;
Analyze and measure the financial, operational and strategic impact of acquisitions, sales and other investments.
QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Accounting or Finance;
Experience in financial analysis or accounting, an asset;
Solid applied understanding of general financial analysis concepts such as margin analysis, ROIC, project evaluation;
Strong technical, analytical and systems skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting;
Highly analytical and detail-oriented;
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous assignments;
Ability to apply broad business perspectives and experiences to identify opportunities/risks;
Fluency in a language other than English: (Spanish, French, Mandarin) is a plus (but not a necessity);
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
