The beautiful oceanfront city of Campbell River has opportunities for two General Internists to join the Department of Medicine at Campbell River Hospital.

Campbell River & District General Hospital – 105 beds (6 closed ICU beds) provides services to a referral population of 55,000. Enjoy a collegial and academic work group with opportunities for teaching and research with skilled specialist colleagues and on site echocardiography, CT and MRI. New hospital completed in Fall of 2017. Well appointed hospital with many specialty call groups including pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, plastics surgery, general surgery, anesthesia and orthopedic surgery. Shared access to EST time and electro-diagnostic interpretations.

The successful candidates will hold FRCPC in General Internal Medicine. An interest in Rheumatology, Endocrinology or Gastroenterology would be considered an asset.

The successful candidates will share in a roughly 1:5 to 1:7 Hospital based call schedule.

There is an opportunity for the successful candidates to join an existing clinic in the community, if desired.

Recruitment Incentive: $10,000
Moving Expense Reimbursement: up to a maximum of $15,000
Annual Retention Premium: $6,123.06
Fee-for-service premium: 6.09%

CME:
Years 3 & 4: $3000/annum
After 4 years: $6000/annum
