Position: Program Support Manager

Classification: Permanent Full Time (Executive)

Location: Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Administrative Office

Salary: Subject to Qualifications

Background:

The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc. is seeking an individual for the position of Program Support Manager. The Program Support Manager is responsible for ensuring the reporting of the Centre’s funded programs to funding partners are completed, as outlined in funding agreements. The Program Support Manager is part of the Executive Team and ensures all services provided by the Centre are consistent with the Centre’s Mission, Values and Strategic Plan. The Program Support Manager shall also provide leadership, supervision and support to the Centre’s program Coordinators, Team Leads and staffing teams, reporting to the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in the area of Human Services or acceptable equivalent / related experience;
  • Working knowledge of the Child Welfare Legislation and Standards and foster care policies and regulations;
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational and consultative ability;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous organizations;
  • Strong understanding of community-based models of practice;
  • Strong motivational and leadership ability;
  • Be a Team player in order to encourage an environment that fosters effective results in teams;
  • Ability to provide leadership to make change, implement processes and provide strategic direction;
  • Ability to develop program financial budgets in consultation with Team Leads;
  • Ability to provide supervision and support to the Team Leads/Leadership Team;
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in written form, including effective use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic mail;
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to implement program polices and protocols;
  • Understanding of Indigenous values and community issues;
  • Current Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry and Prior Contact Checks required.
