The HR Solution Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining human resource information systems (HRIS) for their organization. They are in charge of providing advisory services, technical guidance and training to internal customers on the operation and maintenance of SuccessFactors Employee Central. One of their main responsibilities includes staying up to date with current system releases, developing and implementing strategies to address problem areas with the HR solution including implementing continuous improvement strategies. They must work well in a team setting to meet objectives in a timely manner; however, they also need to be able to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities of the HR Solution Specialist include:
System Support and HRIS Service Desk
Management and triage of issue defects related to HRIS and ensure day-to-day issues are addressed/resolved.
Assisting SMEs in developing system documentation for their specific SuccessFactors modules, provide proper training aids that meet change management governance.
Troubleshooting bugs and working with vendors to resolve issues.
Collaborating with HR customers and other business functions to design processes that will improve overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Project Management, Optimization and HR Business Process Owner
Responsible for developing 1-2-year HRIS strategy and roadmap for existing or net new systems with a holistic view of the business.
Creating and maintaining a business process for users to submit enhancement suggestions related to HRIS.
Responsible for ensuring project plans and work demands of the team are realistic and deadlines are met including working with Project Management Office.
Maintain positive relationships with appropriate HR, IT, Finance, Mgmt. / Admins and third-party vendors to determine enhanced offerings for current and future system functionality.
Responsible for creating and maintaining system architecture maps and system documentation.
Data Quality, Training and Security
Evaluating data quality issues and determining methods to improve system accuracy.
Ensure HR related data follows all applicable policies, laws, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Creating and maintaining training aids.
Facilitate training for new HR end-users and refreshers sessions.
Evaluating data quality and preventative strategies to maintain accurate data.
Skills/Qualifications of the HR Solution Specialist include:
Minimum 1 year of SuccessFactors Employee Central experience or 5 years’ experience with a similar solution.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources Management, or related discipline required.
Experience with SAP HR or Payroll is preferred.
Experience with SuccessFactors Talent Management is preferred.
Advanced skills in Excel required.
Ability to provide direction to HRIS analyst & administrators and influence stakeholders to ensure that solutions are effective and in keeping with the overall HRIS strategy.
Excellent People Management skills - Coach, develop, and motivate employees on the HRIS team. Apply appropriate leadership styles based on the project, skills and experience of team members.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
Strong customer service focus with demonstrated skills in supporting users to assist in addressing issues and concerns.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to learn and use a variety of software applications such as HRIS and payroll systems, Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
