JOB ORDER NUMBER:
Our client, a large high profile retail Manufacturer of Apparel, is looking for a Sourcing Coordinator to provide administrative support.
This is a 1 year contract opportunity with the potential of being hired on as a permanent employee after that duration.
The Sourcing Coordinator provides departmental administrative support to ensure timely preparation of Purchase Order and report, comprehensive record keeping and smooth flow of work within or between departments. The coordinator has to work closely with RM supply, logistics and sales operation team on raw material support to offshore contractor as well as sample and bulk receiving from overseas vendor. This role requires very careful attention to detail accuracy and data integrity. Concise monitoring and advisement of status are considered essential.
Execute and Process MPO (Master Production Order) in AX – Release, check Material Availability, Create RM Transfer Order per MPO, Start, Report as Finish and End
Send sample and bulk PO to offshore contractor on timely basis
Maintain master production schedule, communicate with offshore contractors to ensure
Receive Finished Goods in AX on time especially during sales sample stage and help resolve issues if needed
Prepares and track weekly Status Report (WIP) for all offshore contractors
Attend weekly contractor status meeting to discuss status of each PO
Follow-up and coordinate with assigned contractor, the WIP and delivery of POs
Follow-up and coordinate with RM supply team for availability of CG supplied raw material to support sample and bulk production schedule
Coordinate with Logistics team the preparation and shipment of Raw Materials for contractors
Responds to contractors on material queries
Issues Raw Material Request (RMR) for additional requirements due to changes in BOM
Responds to Contractors on Finished Goods/packing slips issues
Develops maintains standard templates for strategic sourcing documentations including but not limited to contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements
Other administrative support and departmental tasks as required
Experience, Education and Designations:
Minimum 5 years of experience in garment industry, supporting sourcing and procurement department in an administrative capacity
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Fashion Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Excellent MS Office skills
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software experience
Excellent written and verbal English skills (other languages an asset)
Highly detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges
Excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to evaluate options and generate solutions
Confident, articulate, organized, detail oriented, goal oriented, self-motivated and hard working
This 1 year contract offers a very competitive salary.
1 year contract with the potential of being hired on as a permanent employee after that duration.
