Toronto Film School has an opening for a full time Junior IT Administrator for its' Concord campus.

This role will work varying shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

The Junior IT Administrator provides daily support, management, upgrades and deployments of all PC and Mac systems across the campuses. Additionally, this role provides second level support and advisement to the other IT Administrator across the company for daily activities and project deployments.


  • Provide technical support and training to staff, faculty and students as required.
  • Monitor and provide technical support to users across the company via the IT Helpdesk ticket system.
  • Perform systems and application upgrades as designated by the Campus Principal and/or Manager of IT Operations and deploy throughout each campus quarterly.
  • Regularly review recurring administrative tasks at each location and implement changes to systems and processes as required to reduce inefficiencies.
  • Monitor and manage all IT related equipment, including networking switches/routers, firewall, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors
  • Provide after-hours emergency support when necessary.


  • 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience within a PC and Mac hybrid environment.
  • a diploma in a related discipline is required.
  • experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
  • proven Windows & Apple OSX management and administration skills in a moderate to large environment
  • comprehensive knowledge of IP networking, troubleshooting and management
  • proven ability with premise wiring troubleshooting and installation
  • strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • strong business orientation with the ability to connect business needs with computing systems design and implementation
  • excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion, often several consecutively
  • exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • strong work ethic
  • ability to travel between both campus locations to provide support where needed, typically rotating daily however travel between both campuses within a single day may be required at times.
