Apply Now is looking to grow its People & Culture function by adding a Compensation & HRIS Optimization Specialist to the team based out of London, ON.

Under the direction of the Manager, Total Rewards, the person in this role will act as the HRIS subject matter expert for the People & Culture team. The Compensation & HRIS Optimization Specialist will partner with members of the People & Culture team as well as Finance to develop a deep understanding of internal HR, payroll, and finance processes. The focus of this position will be to optimize the HR system and processes, enhance system capabilities, and assess process effectiveness.

This role is available as a remote opportunity, with the expectation of one day per week in the London, ON office.

In this role you will:
Lead the design, maintenance, optimization, and administration of UltiPro systems
Oversee the implementation, integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the compensation and performance management modules and assess system capabilities and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
Implement system enhancements including testing, verification, and reporting
Work with vendors (Ultipro, International Payroll Providers, etc.) for system updates and integration
Provide system and communication support related to merit planning and performance management and deliver training to People & Culture team on system features, enhancements, and report creation
Assist with design, maintenance and administration of compensation programs, including benchmarking, pay structure design, annual merit pay program, and bonus programs
Develop reporting capabilities, metrics, and analytics related to variable compensation programs, including accruals & projections for Finance, payment details, and performance metrics
Participate in the development and implementation of strategies and process for effective delivery of compensation programs ensuring market competitiveness and compliance
Analyze and maintain data in support of the compensation program administration and projects, and produce compensation related reports, conduct complex analyses and presentations
Work collaboratively with Compensation & Benefits Coordinator to automate payroll processes & develop reporting and analytics
Work closely with Compensation & Benefits Specialist to manage system requirements related to merit and performance management, facilitate data export for survey completion, and optimizing reporting

What you can show us:
Post-Secondary Education in Finance, Business, Human Resources or equivalent in work experience requires
7+ years of implementing, integrating, and optimizing corporate HRIS, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with design, administering and managing compensation programs
Proven ability to build strong working relationships, and the ability to work with people utilizing sensitivity, tact and professionalism at all times
Highly skilled in data analytics, problem identification and resolution, with impeccable attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
CPP Certification (Certified Compensation Professional) or GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) would be considered an asset
Previous experience with UltiPro HRIS would be beneficial
