As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a General Management Program Director in our Interior Structures Business located in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.


Reporting to the General Manager for the Value Stream this role will serve as the face of our Engineering/Certification/Manufacturing business internally and externally, be accountable for customer satisfaction, oversee overall operational performance of the business unit and be accountable to the workforce.

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring successful engineering, design, analysis, certification, and manufacturing services to a global customer base. This includes ensuring that all deliverables are provided on time, driving cost reduction actions, daily customer interactions, and reporting progress to senior leadership. This role leads a cross-functional, matrixed organization that is committed to delivering high quality aircraft interiors/structures on time and on budget. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with large organizations across functional and international boundaries.


Own the execution of the business unit
Works closely with Business Development on capture plans and supporting customer meetings
Ensure the successful design, production, and delivery for programs.
Ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets.
Defines strategies for establishing and implementing milestones, program plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that organization's objectives are met.
Drives and develops continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
Identifies and handles complex program problems and spearheads solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and directing responses to complex customer action items.
Oversees presentation of program progress and results to ensure that goals are achieved.
Oversees the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program.
Oversees the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
Interacts with and oversees multiple large/important vendors.
Daily customer interactions, and reporting progress to senior leadership
Works with Group level leadership to agree on and execute both strategic and tactical initiatives
Provides strong leadership and communications to the on-site staff and program teams
Promotes and develops a strong Program Management led organization based around Integrated Project Teams
Responsible for developing succession plans, growing the bench strength of the on-site team, identifying gaps and growing and mentoring individuals. Promotes a strong pay for performance environment where individuals feel empowered and understand their career path. Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff as appropriate
Creates a continuous improvement environment focused on increasing productivity and competitiveness
Responsibility for the quality and presentation of all internal and external (customer) reporting including Business Reviews, program reviews and customer reviews
Analyzes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business unit performance and takes appropriate actions
Participates in regular customer meetings and develops strong customer relationships
Performs other related duties as required.


This position will work in a highly matrixed environment and will directly and indirectly supervises employees as appropriate. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 12 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
