Service Representative, Sponsored Markets
As the Sponsored Markets Service Representative, you are responsible for servicing an in-force block of business as well as participating in the acquisition of new business. You will communicate with clients, brokers/advisors/consultants, plan administrators, and internal Sun Life stakeholders, participate in project-related activities to support both client and internal team goals. Reporting to the Director, Sponsored Markets, you will also work closely with the Client Relationship Managers across all Sponsored Markets business segments (Association and Affinity, Creditor, and Students).
To be successful you will need to have worked in this area for a few years to know how to deliver timely and accurate responses and resolutions to all aspects of the client and/or intermediary needs, such as member eligibility, claim inquiries, and plan financials, be versatile and thrive in an everchanging business environment.

What will you do?
Review and triage requests (e.g., coverage questions) from in-force block of business and Prepare, review, and assist Client Relationship Managers in presentation of client materials - including preparing and presenting at finalists presentations
Gather, manipulate, and present critical data such as premiums, claims, and demographic files to assist other functions of Sponsored Markets - Financial Underwriters, Product Managers, Finance, and Contracts
Manage target dates with clients and intermediaries with respect to plan design changes, renewals, and other critical client projects, where you also play a role in preparing those revisions or changes.
Work closely with implementation teams to successfully install new business and correspond with other Sun Life areas outside Sponsored Markets – Claims, Medical Underwriting, Administration, Marketing – as required to ensure satisfactory client service
Provide training and ongoing support to Plan Administrators and intermediaries
What do you need to succeed?
Excellent customer service and communication skills (comfortable presenting and interacting with clients and intermediaries) and Bi-lingual (French and English) is an asset
Understanding of insurance financials, distribution systems, and business management, strong understanding of insurance benefits and products is an asset
Ability to build strong working relationships
High sense of accountability and autonomy, preference for some project management skills
Comfortable in technology systems, ability to adapt and learn quickly and solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
