ClearStream Energy is looking for you. As a Safety Advisor, reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will work with operations to provide leadership in support of policies, best practices and corporate values. The primary function of this role is to provide on and off-site safety support of our core safety systems and industry requests on site and represent ClearStream as a leader in energy and industrial markets.

What You Do:
Ensure that the company’s health and safety program is maintained to the highest level of performance.
Review and update the company’s health and safety program and policies to continually improve the health and safety performance of the operation and business.
Review and develop Safety Management Plans at all operating locations in the Foothills region.
Liaises with Occupational Health & Safety and owners/clients as needed to endure cooperation and the maintenance of safe work environment.
Keep current on developments in industry and accident prevention.
Interface with Corporate Safety Director to move towards “one-co” Safety Management System.
Take an active role in the development of the monthly safety message, distribution and publication.
Support the Certificate of Recognition auditing program, COHR certification, internal and external audits, results and distribution of corrective action plan, manage personal training requirements for ACSA.
Ensure the proper structure and management of specific corporate programs; work with potential service provider for support.
Support day to day safety equipment requirements.
Provide support for emergency response and facility security management.
Support industry requested safety registries.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the internal and COR program and discusses corrective action requirements with supervisory staff.
Implement a system of inspections on maintenance, projects and operations to determine the existence of and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
Conduct hazard analysis and develops safe work procedures and circulates rule and regulations governing the worksite.
Provide support for incident reporting, root cause analysis and investigation follow-up of the recommendations. Informs management and supervisory personnel of the overall accident trends.
Support, gather and compile all incidents and statistical information required for our monthly statistical reporting and corporate reporting

Who You Are:
Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel within the Foothills region on a regular basis to various site locations.
An understanding of business drivers and the ability to influence and facilitate the development.
Implementation of health and safety plans, goals and objectives.
The ability to work effectively in and contribute to a team environment.

What You Bring:
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Knowledge and experience in the Forestry, construction and oil & gas industry.
Experience in fabrication, field construction, plant shutdowns, maintenance and field operations.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to participate in, facilitate group meetings, and prepare business presentations.
Experience with WCB claims management, ISNetworld and A&D procedures are an asset.
3- 5 years’ experience as a safety advisor with dedicated full-time experience leading on-site HS&E in multiple industrial work locations.
Professional certification or training in Occupational Health and Safety, supplemented by certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.
Knowledge/experience with HS&E Management Systems and audit tools including: Alberta Partnerships, Certificate of Recognition (COR).
