As Volleyball Lead you will be the sole contact and facilitator of Volleyball on the Boardwalk (VOTB) before, during and after the season. (April- September).
Coordinate leagues, tournaments and various fun events for beach volleyball courts;
To act as the public relations person as well as promote the leagues and tournaments;
Supervise all games and events that are held on the courts;
Manage and report all financial records and registrations that are associated with the project (including game results, league standings and court usage);
To maintain and groom courts and surrounding areas on a daily basis as well ensure proper signage is visible during league play;
To maintain rentals of the courts throughout the season;
Maintain Volleyball website and other registration software.
Skills and Qualifications:
Field of study: Physical Education, Kinesiology, Outdoor Recreation, and Recreation Management;
Strong volleyball background at the administration and/or player level and to be able to demonstrate the ability to organize events;
Criminal Record Check and First Aid/CPR (or be willing to obtain);
Strong scheduling and administration skills & financial abilities. Outgoing and strong public relation skills;
Reliable and mature individual;
Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills;
Proven communication skills both verbal and written;
Ability to communicate with participants of all ages and skill levels;
Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search along with clearance from Department of Social Development.
