We have an exciting opportunity in Mississauga on our Marketing Team for a Brand Manager - Shopper Marketing reporting to the Director of Marketing. As a member of the Shopper Marketing Team, the primary focus of this role is to lead development of the overall Campbell Canada Shopper Marketing strategy and execution for your particular portfolio. Built on a strong partnership between Brand leads and Customers Teams, the Shopper Marketing Team creates breakthrough strategies and initiatives to deeply engage Shoppers with our brands. The successful candidate must be an exceptional leader with proven ability to work in multi-functional teams including customer facing opportunities. They must be driven by a deep understanding of our customer’s needs and shopper insights, with natural ability to leverage these needs and insights with Campbell brand strategies and specific Customer marketplace strategies.
IMPORTANT: The successful candidate should be open to career development through a Brand role in addition to continuing a career in shopper marketing. Flexibility to potentially move into brand for your next assignment will be required.
Key responsibilities of this role:
Sets Shopper Marketing direction and priorities aligned to brand, customer and overall communication strategies
Identify key opportunities to engage Shoppers leveraging deep knowledge of all shopper communication channels, including digital, social, and loyalty.
Provides leadership and drives shopper marketing initiatives in collaboration with Brand Managers and the Sales Organization.
Creates, sells and executes specific account annual shopper plans for lead customers to help deliver annual customer revenue targets drive brand strategies
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
University Degree – preferred Business/Commerce
Minimum 3+ years of progressive marketing experience including shopper marketing experience
Retailer marketing and account management is an asset
Progressive marketing experience (minimum 3-5 years)
An exceptional leader with ability to create direction while engaging multi-functional teams to deliver breakthrough business results
Marketing strategy expertise related to business grounded Objectives, Strategies & Measurable Goals
Ability to create strong, single-minded creative briefs, and turn those ideas in to meaningful building blocks for our business
Breakthrough communication track record: Brand & Portfolio Promotions, original and adapted advertising, media planning & PR
Proficient at working collaboratively with external agencies.
Strong customer/account management experience.
Strong project management skills.
Detailed understanding of principles on post analysis and ROI
Demonstrated ability to create timelines around complex planning calendars
Demonstrated ability to create and execute Shopper Marketing Strategy & Plans
Strong collaborator across key internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Insights)
