We are seeking a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience working in the delivery of support to youth and adults, primarily to residents in High Prairie and surrounding areas. Travel may be required. Reporting to the North Zone Addictions Mental health Manager, the recovery worker is an integral member of a team, and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, supports and follows up to clients, families and communities in conjunction with the primary clinician. In addition to office based practice, travelling to, and use of technology to connect with other professionals and clients in their rural communities are primary aspects of the position. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
