We currently have an opening for a Water Sciences Manager in our Vernon office. Our Water Sciences team includes hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and aquatic ecologists conducting scientific and planning work for an established client-base across western and northern Canada. Our work covers a wide range of disciplines, including water supply, watershed planning, fisheries management, drought and flood response planning, environmental assessment, water quality, waste management, and climate change adaptation and resiliency.
Situated in the Okanagan Valley, Vernon is a diverse community of 40,000 people, providing world-class recreational opportunities, a vibrant culture, and more affordable housing than larger urban centres. Our office of 36 staff is located downtown, and most take less than 15 minutes to travel to work. The Kelowna International Airport is only 30 minutes away, making work-related travel easy.

Responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership to our Vernon-based water science team.
Delivering technical services within your area of practice.
Developing staff as scientists, project managers, and well-rounded consultants.
Identifying business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and successfully pursuing project work.
Collaborating with the company’s leadership team.
What you will bring to the table:
Undergraduate degree in an environmental discipline that supports one of our key practice areas (e.g., hydrology, hydrogeology, aquatic ecology/toxicology); graduate degree preferred.
Passion for solving our clients’ water and climate-related challenges, and a desire to further develop your team’s expertise.
Professional registration (e.g., P.Geo., P.Ag., R.P.Bio., R.P.F) or eligibility for registration.
10+ years of professional experience (with at least 3 years in consulting), demonstrating project and people management.
Demonstrated business acumen and strong decision-making skills.
