POSITION : SALES / CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

Techniseal, now a division of Oldcastle Building Products, is located on the South Shore of Montreal and is an innovative Canadian company originally founded in 1984. We _develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of premium quality products for the cleaning and protection of exterior surfaces. World leader in the production of Polymeric Sand and of treatment products for concrete pavers and slabs, Techniseal is active in Canada, the United States and Europe.

_We are currently looking for a dynamic person who enjoys new challenges and tasks. We are growing and want a team player to join our sales and customer service department.

Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager, the individual will be primarily responsible for the following tasks :

  • Coordinate various meetings of presentation to major accounts ;
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations ;
  • Assist management with the implementation of programs and price lists ;
  • Assist in the drafting of communications for managers, representatives, distributors and others ;
  • Prepare various Excel reports on a daily, weekly, monthly (agreements, price lists, custom sales reports, etc.) ;
  • Optimize communication between members of the sales team and customers ;
  • Be point of resource for the Manager of Retail Sales when out of office or traveling ;
  • Participate to proposals and negotiations for certain accounts ;
  • Provide administrative support, including the preparation of correspondence, preparation of agendas, the transcription of notes and minutes of meetings, and sending / shipping of documents or materials as needed ;
  • Help customer service (1-2 days / week) by taking and processing customer orders and / or promotional items;
  • Manage the customer service RT system (returns) ;
  • Perform various related tasks.

General criteria :

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
  • Bilingual (written/spoken)
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), database management, webpage display software, social media and electronic communication
  • Excellent sense of organization; ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and set priorities
  • DEC administration or clerical studies or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of retail sales or stores specializing in construction and landscaping materials (an asset)
